Bayern Munich remain optimistic about securing a deal for Liverpool winger Luis Díaz, with internal confidence growing that an agreement can be reached within the next 7 to 10 days, according to a report from SPORTBILD.

The Bundesliga giants are unwilling to meet Liverpool’s €80 million valuation of the Colombian international, but sources suggest Bayern have capped their offer at €75 million. In an effort to close the gap and add incentive, both clubs are discussing the inclusion of a sell-on clause that would see Liverpool receive a percentage of any future transfer fee — particularly if Díaz is later sold to a Saudi Arabian club.

Talks are described as progressing positively, and Bayern believe the sell-on clause could provide a creative solution that satisfies all parties without breaching their financial limits.

Díaz, 28, has been a key player for Liverpool since joining from FC Porto in January 2022. His pace, work rate and direct style have made him a favourite at Anfield, but with Liverpool undergoing an attacking rebuild under Arne Slot, the club may be prepared to sanction his departure if the price is right.

Bayern, meanwhile, see Díaz as a top priority as they look to reinforce their wide options following an inconsistent campaign. With Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry struggling for fitness and form, the Colombian’s arrival would inject fresh quality into the flanks.

Should the transfer go through, it would mark another major move in a busy summer window for both Bayern and Liverpool, with the latter also reportedly active in the market for a replacement.
