A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has clocked the 2nd-fastest sprint speed of any player at Euro 2024 to date.
As much comes owing to his exploits in Spain’s quarter-final showdown with Germany on Friday.
The player in question? Ferran Torres.
Frontman Ferran, for his part, was introduced off the bench last night, as Spain battled their way to a hard-fought 2-1 downing of Euros host Germany.
The Barcelona man enjoyed a solid-if-unspectacular evening’s work, largely struggling to make an impact in the final third.
As alluded to above, though, Ferran did manage to secure for himself an altogether impressive individual benchmark.
The 24-year-old was clocked sprinting at a speed of 36km/h against Germany.
Only one player has been recorded at a faster speed across the entirety of the European Championships to date, in the form of, unsurprisingly, Kylian Mbappé.
