Suning will leave one major “parting gift” to Inter Milan in the form of stability and continuity of the senior management.

Suning’s era as owners of Inter is about to come to an end.

It has certainly been a period with highs and lows.

But there is no denying the success, as the Nerazzurri have won seven trophies with the Chinese company at the helm, along with reaching two European finals.

Suning’s ownership has become infeasible due to financial reasons, though.

And these kinds of situations can often steer clubs towards choppy waters.

A change of ownership can mean a big shake-up at a club. In most cases, when a club changes owners, it means that things are not going well at the club.

But for Inter, the transition should be a smooth one.

Continuity Of Senior Management A Parting Gift From Suning To Inter

Any fears that Oaktree might radically change the setup at Inter have been nipped in the bud.

The US-based fund have absolutely no desire to disrupt the balance that has gotten Inter to where they are now.

That means that Oaktree will keep Beppe Marotta as CEO of the club. Working alongside the 67-year-old will be Sporting DIrector Piero Ausilio and Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin.

And it is Suning that built this behind-the-scenes structure.

The current (and soon-to-be-former) owners have reaped the success from this senior management, in the form of the trophies they have won at the club.

But it is not a structure that will just implode the moment that Suning are gone.

Rather, it is a solid bedrock for Inter to stand upon.

That will be the case with Oaktree in charge. And potentially even with new owners after them.
