Florian Plettenberg reports that VfB Stuttgart have rejected a Nottingham Forest offer for attacker Jamie Leweling. The Bundesliga outfit has no intention of selling the twice-capped international despite a €20m bid that also featured a generous €5m in bonuses included. Plettenberg claims that Forest are not planning to submit a new bid.

Stuttgart can ill afford to part company with an experienced winger following Enzo Millot’s departure this summer. Stuttgart are in the process of acquiring their former winger Tiago Tomas as a Millot replacement, but that will naturally not change Leweling’s status. Leweling currently maintains an estimated €20m market value.

Plettenberg does note that Forest will continue to keep tabs on the 24-year-old. Stuttgart purchased Leweling for €5m from 1. FC Union Berlin in the summer of 2024. After scoring five goals and registering seven assists for Stuttgart in 36 appearances across all competitions last season, Leweling quintupled his estimated worth.

Leweling earned his first two caps for country during the 2024/25 cycle. In his first cap during an October 2024 Nations League match, Leweling started and scored in his German national team debut. The Nürnberg native also scored two Champions League goals last season.
