After securing a narrow 3-2 win over Celta Vigo over the weekend, Real Madrid’s focus will turn to the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona on May 11.
It is a must-win game for Los Blancos, if they are to retain their title hopes alive heading into the final phase of the campaign.
Real Madrid have already been bested thrice by Barcelona this season, so coach Carlo Ancelotti would require all the firepower he can get this coming weekend.
To that end, Real Madrid could be boosted by the return of Rodrygo Goes this week.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, who suggests that the Brazilian should return to the Real Madrid squad ahead of the Barcelona tie.
Rodrygo has been suffering from cold and slight fever over the past few days. He even missed out on the recent game against Celta Vigo.

However, he is likely to recover in time for the Barcelona clash, thus giving Ancelotti a major boost.
That said, it remains doubtful whether or not Rodrygo will start in the first place against Barcelona, especially with Arda Guler performing well.
Ancelotti has already hinted that the young Turk might start against Barcelona this coming weekend, with Rodrygo likely to be the one impacted.
Guler is likely to occupy the right-side attack, partnering Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in Real Madrid’s three-pronged offensive line.
However, Ancelotti will not rule out using Rodrygo as a late substitute, should he require more pace and vigor late in the game.
It must be noted that Rodrygo has struggled a lot this season, having scored only six goals in 30 league matches so far. Whether or not he will make a late comeback this season remains to be seen.
