Soumaïla Coulibaly (21) will miss the entirety of RC Strasbourg Alsace’s pre-season, according to a report from L’Équipe.

Coulibaly, who spent last season on loan at Stade Brestois, made the move to Strasbourg from Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer for a €7.5m fee. However, his preparation for the upcoming season will be heavily disrupted, and he will not be involved in Les Alsaciens’ Ligue 1 season opener, against newly promoted FC Metz on 17th August.

As per L’Équipe, the Frenchman will be out for at least a month with a calf injury. It means that he will miss the entirety of pre-season. However, there is better news for some of Strasbourg’s other players. Valentin Barco, who has been struggling with a knee issue and Emanuel Emegha, who has been suffering from a muscular issue, are both back. The pair are in the squad to face Galatasaray in Istanbul on Saturday evening.
