After the victory at San Siro against Empoli, Inter will next face Sparta Prague away. The kick-off is scheduled for Wednesday 22 January at 21:00 CET on Matchday 7 of the UEFA Champions League.
Sparta Prague and Inter have faced each other on four previous occasions in European competitions, with the Nerazzurri winning on three occasions and losing just one match. This will be the first time these two sides will face each other between the Champions Cup and the UEFA Champions League. Inter are unbeaten against Czech Republic opponents in the UEFA Champions League, with all four previous fixtures coming from 2019/20 onwards. The Nerazzurri have won all three most recent matches, scoring nine goals and conceding just one.

The Nerazzurri have been behind for just 285 seconds in the current tournament, fewer than any other team. Hakan Calhanoglu, with two goals scored, is the most prolific Nerazzurri player in this edition of the Champions League.
Sparta Prague, led since the start of the season by Dane Lars Friis, currently occupy 28th position in the Champions League table with four points from six matches. The Czechs have won only one of their last 20 UEFA Champions League matches, losing the last four in a row. They have also conceded 18 goals in this Champions League, their highest number since 1999/00. The only season in which they conceded more goals in major European competitions was the previous one (22), making them the team that has conceded the most goals in the last two seasons in Europe (40). Friis' team is in third place in their domestic league with 37 points thanks to 11 wins and four draws after 19 matches, with 35 goals scored and 22 conceded. The Czech team's top scorer is Victor Olatunji with six goals.
