Athletic Club star Nico Williams sent a clear message to the Barcelona contingent in Spain’s national team squad during the recent international break.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have late on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.

Wide-man Nico has of course taken his place centre stage in the Spanish media headlines once more over the last 24 hours.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 22-year-old’s agent had held a fresh round of talks with Barcelona sporting director Deco.

This sit down came with a sole purpose: To make clear Nico’s desire to secure a Camp Nou switch this summer.

And as alluded to above, late on Saturday evening, a further insight into the attacker’s efforts to engineer a move to Barcelona has been provided.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘In the final stretch of the training camp with the Spanish national team, and also in the days that followed, the Athletic winger made his desire clear to several of his friends in the Blaugrana dressing room.’

In conversations with the likes of Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo and Pau Cubarsí, Nico was unwavering in his pleas of ‘bro, take me (to Barcelona)’.
