Italian club Udinese are eyeing Southampton keeper Gavin Bazunu on loan. That leaves the Saints to battle out an important decision regarding star signing Aaron Ramsdale.

What if I tell you that Southampton currently employs three ex-Man City stars? Surely, you would be surprised beyond belief.

Interestingly, prodigies, Gavin Bazunu, Taylor Harwood Bellis, and Juan Larios have all come from Man City's youth ranks. And despite this similarity, the three have had quite contrasting fortunes so far.

While Harwood-Bellis has cemented his place in the Saints lineup, Larios isn't even in discussions for now, it is Bazunu who enjoys a quite uncertain fate.

Firstly, after being a part of the regular setup, Bazunu got sidelined with an Achilles tendon rupture. If this wasn't cruel enough, it ain't been any easy for him after the injury return.

Clearly, Bazunu has the potential to be Southampton's number 1, but given the club's situation, an opportunity for him looks difficult. To his rescue, an Italian club is willing to offer him a comeback opportunity.

As per the Irish Independent, Udinese is willing to offer Gavin Bazunu a fresh start in Italy. Further, being a loan move, it keeps the chance open if the 22-year-old vows to succeed at Southampton only.

But, while a Udinese loan seems the perfect fit for Bazunu, it can bound Southampton in an important decision.

After shining prodigy Tyler Dibling, arguably, keeper Aaron Ramsdale is the only name on which Saints can cash something considerable. Sadly, a loan departure of Bazunu would leave the club with out-of-form names, except Ramsdale.

Then even if Ramsdale wishes for an exit, amidst serious offers, Bazunu's potential departure would halt these operations.

Overall, Bazunu's potential loan departure comes as a double-edged sword for the Saints. While the club would enjoy the fruits of a successful loan later, a single mistake would result in a setback.
