Chelsea beat Benfica in the first set of knockout rounds in the Club World Cup on Saturday night, but it was far from easy and also, very far from drama!

EXCLUSIVE! Big offers incoming for Chelsea star and club seriously consider selling and replacing with Premier league man!

Enzo Maresca labelled it a joke that the game got suspended for two hours due to sever weather conditions and slammed the tournament location as a result, and he really does have a point here.

And then came a flurry of late goal with Benfica equalising deep into stoppage time through a penalty to send it into extra time. Chelsea then bagged a bunch of goals to go on and win the game before it got to penalties!

Blues getting busy

Chelsea are now getting active in the summer transfer market after signing a few players already.

Joao Pedro from Brighton and Jamie Gittens from Dortmund have not officially been confirmed yet but they are expected to be soon. Liam Delap is also a new signing that has come in of course already.

Chelsea are expected to make a move back in for Mohammed Kudus of West Ham as well.

According to West Ham insiders Claret and Hugh, the fear was that with Chelsea signing Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund for £55 million, their intent would vanish for Kudus. However that is reportedly far from the truth. Sources at the club are very confident that Chelsea will re-enter the bidding:

They then site Footballinsider.co.uk as backing that up – Chelsea now hope to sell Madueki who will be behind Gittens in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, ( possibly to Arsenal) and therefore they’d be in a position to continue their spree with a cash offer to blow Tottenham out of the water for Kudus’ signature.
