Dominic Solanke is unlikely to be fit for Tottenham’s midweek trip to Bournemouth, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed.
The striker joined in the summer from Bournemouth having spent five years with the Cherries, but looks set to miss out on his first opportunity to face his former club.
Asked for team news, Postecoglou said: “Dom is due to train today. He’s still not 100% but he’s much better.
“Everyone from the weekend got through ok. Archie [Gray] got a knock but he’s recovered well.”
The Australian also gave a cryptic update on Sergio Reguilon.
The Spanish full-back is in the last year of his Spurs contract, and neither party seem interested in renewal.
Reguilon is reportedly looking to leave the club having not made an appearance this season, with former club Sevilla and Getafe both interested in his services.
Postecoglou said, “There’s also a reason why Reggy is in the last year of his contract with us. We’ll see how that all transpires.
“There’s nothing wrong with his attitude and he’s been training all the time with us.
“He’s ready [if needed]. He’s training every day and he’s part of the squad.”
He added that Christian Romero is expected to return to full team training soon, saying: “[Romero is] due to have his last couple of sessions with the rehab guys today or tomorrow.
“We’re hoping that he’s back in training by Friday and at the latest early next week.”
