Defender Alessandro Bastoni should be fit enough to travel with the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League clash between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Italian international completed a normal post-match recovery training session today.

Alessandro Bastoni started for Inter Milan in yesterday’s Serie A clash with Parma.

The 25-year-old did see out the entire first half of the match.

However, Bastoni had to come off the pitch at halftime.

The Italian did manage to return to the bench to watch the match with his teammates. However, this was with an ice pack applied to his left knee.

Naturally, that raised the alarm as far as Bastoni’s fitness.

After the match, Inter Milan assistant coach Massimiliano Farris downplayed fears around Bastoni’s fitness.

The assistant coach suggested that it was just a minor problem. The substitution was purely precautionary.

However, with Inter set to face Bayern Munich in a Champions League quarterfinal first leg in just a couple days, that doesn’t leave much time for Bastoni’s recovery.

There is therefore some doubt about the Italian international’s availability.

However, the signs today have been positive.

Bastoni was able to complete the usual post-match recovery training session, Sky Sport Italia report.

Therefore, the feeling is that the 25-year-old should be able to travel with the squad to Munich.
