FLW's Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit has given his verdict on the possible signing of Liam Cooper.

Ex-Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has been offered to Sheffield Wednesday as they look to strengthen their first-team squad.
According to The Guardian, the former Leeds United star is a potential signing that could be made by the Owls.
It was reported by the Yorkshire Post that the club’s transfer embargo was lifted last week, meaning they are now able to register new additions to Henrik Pedersen’s side.
Cooper, 33, is currently without a team after his exit from CSKA Sofia by mutual consent in late July, less than a year after signing with the Bulgarian giants.
When asked about the possible signing of Cooper, FLW’s Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit, Patrick McKenna, claimed it would be a very welcome addition to the side.
He believes the defender will add some much-needed experience to this otherwise young squad, and that he hopes a deal can be struck for the season ahead.
“When I think of Liam Cooper, one thing that stands out is experience and that is one thing that we really need this season,” McKenna told Football League World.
“With how things are going with a lot of players leaving, there isn’t that much experience in the team, and for our defence we will be bringing in some young players to play in those positions.
“So to have someone like Cooper, who has played in the Championship for years, and will have that experience, I think it would be a great signing.
“He knows the division inside out and, although he is 33, for a shortest-term signing, it could work out pretty well.
“He may not be first-choice for a lot of teams, and other summers we wouldn’t have went for players like Cooper, but I think if we did get him now it would be fantastic and his experience really would help the team.
“It would take a bit of the pressure off of someone like Bannan, so I'd be really surprised if we did get him, and it’s a much better signing than I thought we would be able to get with the horrendous circumstances, and all the fee reductions and embargoes.
“So this is one I would really like to see, and it would be a really good signing if he did decide to come to Hillsborough.”
Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 away to Leicester City in their opening game of the new season on Sunday.
Sheffield Wednesday will need to bring some bodies in while they can as they’ve lost so many players over the summer.
Someone like Cooper wouldn’t be the ideal signing in normal circumstances, but he might just prove the exact kind of player they need right now.
The defender has years of Championship experience to his name, playing over 200 games at second tier level, and knows what it takes to play at the highest level after helping Leeds United gain promotion to the Premier League in 2020.
While it’s unlikely he’d be capable of playing each game at this stage of his career, he may prove a valuable addition for the fixtures he can take part in, and the Owls are in need of as many leaders in the dressing room as they can possibly get at this moment in time.
Cooper would certainly be one of those, as well as having proven himself to be a quality centre-back at both Championship and Premier League level in recent years.
