Cagliari secured survival with a game to spare, leaving Venezia in trouble, especially after Empoli and Lecce’s victories in Serie A Round 37.

Verona were held to a 1-1 home draw by Como, which means the Gialloblu are still not safe, but will reach their target with one point in the final round.

Parma may need more away at Atalanta next week. The Ducali picked up a home 0-0 draw against leaders Napoli, but their gap from the drop zone was reduced after Empoli and Lecce won their games.

The Tuscans went 1-0 down against Monza but scored three times in the second half to jump to 31 points, the same as Lecce, who beat Torino 1-0 at home with a Ylber Ramadani.

Venezia were the big losers of the night in the race for survival. Eusebio Di Francesco’s side lost 3-0 away at Cagliari, allowing the Sardinians to secure survival with a game to spare.
