With just over a week remaining before the transfer market slams to a shut, Real Madrid are likely to sanction a few more exits.

Youth prodigy Nico Paz is among the players in contention to leave Santiago Bernabeu in the last week of the transfer market, with Como emerging as one of the potential destinations.

Paz appears to have opened the door for a move to Serie A, with Como now stepping up their efforts to sign the Real Madrid prodigy.

Como submit official bid for Paz

According to The Athletic, Como have now submitted an official bid in the region of €6-7 million for the 19-year-old.

Paz, who made his senior debut for Los Blancos during the 2023-2024 season, is seen as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Real Madrid’s esteemed academy in recent years.

His potential has not gone unnoticed, and Como are eager to secure his signature as they bolster their squad ahead of their return to Italy’s top flight.

While personal terms are still being negotiated and the finer details of the deal have yet to be finalized, Como remains optimistic about completing the transfer.

Initially, Real Madrid had placed a €10 million valuation on Paz, but it seems the club has since reduced its asking price, making Como’s proposal more attractive.

Madrid had mapped out two potential pathways for Paz this summer: the first involved him staying at the Bernabeu to train regularly with the first team, while the second option allowed for a permanent move if the right offer materialized.

The club is reportedly seeking a deal similar to Sergio Arribas’ transfer to Almeria in 2023, which included a percentage of future rights, a sell-on clause, and a right of first refusal.

Nico Paz, who joined Real Madrid in 2016 and is under contract until 2027, impressed during the 2023-2024 season with Real Madrid Castilla, scoring ten goals and providing four assists in 29 appearances.

Despite his promising talent, the depth of attacking options at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal has limited his opportunities with the first team.

Como, managed by former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas, is eager to bring Paz on board as they aim to establish themselves in Serie A following their recent promotion.
