Samson Baidoo leaves for Ligue 1

Taking the Salzburg way to RC Lens in France

After seven years in Salzburg, Samson Baidoo is moving to France, where he has signed a contract with RC Lens, who finished eighth in the top flight last season.

The 21-year-old Austrian international, who has made one appearance for the full national side, came as a 14-year-old at the start of 2018 to Salzburg. After playing for the Red Bull Football Academy (including an U18 title win), co-operation club FC Liefering and our UEFA Youth League team, the central defender appeared for our Red Bulls.

Samson Baidoo has one ADMIRAL Bundesliga league title and a total of 71 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga, the ÖFB Cup, UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup to his name.

Samson Baidoo has completed an impressive development in the past seven years and is a shining example of our Salzburg Way.
