Phil Giles, Brentford director of football, said: “Ryan has done well over pre-season and in Portugal with the squad but, ultimately, he needs to play games to aid his development.
“This move presents a great opportunity for him to continue to thrive at League One level at a great club.
“As with all of our players out on loan, we’ll be monitoring Ryan’s progress closely and wish him all the best for the coming season.”

Part of the B-team squad that won the London Senior Cup in April 2022 and Premier League Cup the following year, Trevitt made his first-team debut during the 2022/23 season in the Bees’ 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Colchester United.
He went on to feature one more time that term, in an FA Cup defeat to West Ham United, before signing a new three-year deal and joining Exeter City on loan in July 2023.
Trevitt excelled in the first half of the 2023/24 campaign, scoring five goals in 20 appearances for the Grecians, but saw his time at the club prematurely ended due to an ankle injury.
Having recovered from that setback, Trevitt made his full Brentford debut in a 1-0 Carabao Cup win, once again against Colchester, in August 2024.
Four days after starting in the same competition as the west Londoners defeated Leyton Orient 3-1 at Gtech Community Stadium, he made his Premier League bow as a late substitute against Tottenham Hotspur.
Trevitt rejoined Gary Caldwell’s Exeter side for a second loan spell in January and made 12 appearances in League One and the FA Cup, scoring once.
