RB Leipzig were held to a 0-0 draw by Augsburg on Friday night.
Die Roten Bullen coach Marco Rose was disappointed with the result, but admitted his side didn't do enough to win.
“It was an okay performance, but we’re not happy with the result. I’m trying to support my lads where I can. We’ve used our first two full weeks of training nicely and I think that’s clear in the way we’re playing. We would have liked to get all three points, but we have to be honest and admit we needed more of a cutting edge in the final third," Rose said in a post-match interview.
"There are a number of things we could discuss. One thing we need is more fight when it comes to duels. We covered a lot of ground in the first half, but Augsburg made life tough for us. A draw is a fair result in the end.”
The draw extended Leipzig's winless run on the road to five games in the Bundesliga.
“We didn’t come to Augsburg just to pick up a point," said Leipzig left-back David Raum.
“It’s obviously always a difficult game here. We can at least be positive about the fact that we kept another clean sheet, but we’ve still lost two points in the end. If we want to be one of the league’s best teams, we have to improve on our recent away form.”
