Roma preparing bid for Monaco’s Soungoutou Magassa | OneFootball

Soungoutou Magassa (21) is attracting plenty of interest in the final weeks of the transfer window. The AS Monaco midfielder is already the subject of a rejected bid from Nottingham Forest, as reported by L’Équipe. This bid, it was reported, was worth €12m, with the Principality club holding out for a fee of €18m.

Nottingham Forest may not have some serious competition, as per a new report from L’Équipe. AS Roma are preparing for the potential loss of Manu Koné, a priority target for Inter Milan. To replace him, the Italian side have identified Magassa as a priority target.

Their interest in the France youth international is intense, to the extent that they are now readying an official offer to be sent to their counterparts at Monaco. With the arrival of Paul Pogba, his opportunities for game time may decrease this season. Speaking today, Adi Hütter expressed a desire to see the squad size reduced. Magassa could now be a candidate to depart, should Roma or Nottingham Forest meet Les Monégasques’ valuation.
