Roma are keeping alive their interest in Atletico Madrid defender Nahuel Molina ahead of the summer.

Molina could return to Serie A, and Roma are among the teams interested in the Argentine full-back.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Giallorossi are carefully monitoring the situation at Atlético Madrid, awaiting Diego Simeone’s final verdict.

The Argentine coach, who strongly wanted Molina when he was first signed, will now have to evaluate whether he will stay or sell him in the coming weeks.

Having arrived at Atlético after an excellent spell at Udinese, Molina has not been able to maintain the same performance he had before winning the World Cup with Argentina.

Despite a decline in performance, the full-back remains highly regarded in Italy, where Juventus, Inter and Roma are following his situation with interest.

The Spanish club, which had invested around 20 million euros to bring him to Madrid, is not willing to negotiate a lower price and is aiming to recoup the entire amount spent.
