Roma keeping tabs on Genoa boss Patrick Vieira | OneFootball

Serie A giants Roma have been linked with a host of names as they look to hire a new manager. Genoa boss Patrick Vieira has now emerged as a candidate for the role.

Sky Italia have now reported that the Frenchman is on Roma’s shortlist for the summer, with Claudio Ranieri having confirmed that they are nearing making a decision about their boss.

As of now, Vieira has a release clause of only €500k at Genoa and this can make it easy for the Giallorossi to sign the ex-Crystal Palace man. If Genoa do manage to extend his contract, that clause can get removed and Roma could lose their chance of hiring the former midfielder.

Massimiliano Allegri and Stefano Pioli have been linked with Roma and Ranieri has already denied the possibility of hiring Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini, whose future is also uncertain as of now. The hunt goes on for Roma.
