Roma’s sporting director Frederic Massara confirmed that negotiations to sign Jadon Sancho from Man United have hit roadblock this summer.

Sancho’s move uncertain

Massara explained that despite preliminary agreements between the clubs, the English winger's yet to agree to join Roma.

"Sancho's strong player and has been linked with all Italian clubs" he said.

"At the moment, it’s just proposal. The conditions aren’t suitable and the priority is to ensure proper safeguards before continuing negotiations"

Pellegrini on the brink

The Roma director also confirmed that club captain Lorenzo Pellegrini's close to leaving.

"I spoke with his agent upon my arrival and we decided not to extend his contract. To avoid losing him on free transfer and given his wishes, we’re exploring new opportunities. We have 8 day .. otherwise he may leave in Jan" Massara noted.
