Whilst the Giallorossi look to add depth within the back-line, Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini insists on signing Flamengo full-back Wesley.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, via ForzaRoma.info, that with the Brazilian giants seeking €30m for the 21-year-old, the capital club could make an offer in the form of a loan with an obligation to buy worth €25m plus bonuses.
With Roma looking to part-ways with Celik and possibly Angelino this summer, the acquisition of Wesley is considered vital for the former Atalanta boss in order to fill the void out-wide. The promising Brazilian defender was a target for the Italian tactician one year ago whilst at Bergamo, but a deal never materialized.
An alternative signing that the capital club are considering in the event that Wesley is not economically feasible this summer is 26-year-old Nadir Zortea, who played two years under Gasperini at Atalanta before growing exponentially at Cagliari.
