Roma are reportedly closing in on the appointment of their new CEO.
With the search originating on September 22nd, the capital club appear to be ready to announce Lina Souloukou’s successor.
According to Il Tempo, Marzio Perrelli, current Executive Vice President of Sky Italia, has in fact outpaced all competitors for the new CEO seat of Roma.
The position has been vacant since Friedkin decided to “dismiss” Souloukou and the hunt for a new reference figure began, giving a precise mandate to those who had to propose the CVs: there is a need for an Italian and a person who is a point of union between the ownership and the rest of the club and not a foreign body catapulted into the Italian world of football.
For the moment, the Roman-born Perrelli seems to have overcome the likes of Fenucci, Montali, Carnevali and above all Antonello, against whom he won a tight head-to-head.
