FC Copenhagen are said to be in talks to sign Robin Olsen from Aston Villa.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract in the summer and the Danish side are said to be interested in bringing the Swede back. Olsen played for Løverne between 2016-2018 making 99 appearances.
He signed for Villa in June 2022 for a fee believed to be in the region of £3 million but has struggled to get game time making just 28 appearances. Olsen has had to settle for being Villa’s number 2 with the world’s number 1, Emi Martinez the preferred choice.
Farzam Abolhosseini believes that Copenhagen would love to take him back and make him their number 1 but any deal won’t be easy due to the finances involved. Olsen is on a reported £50,000 a week and it remains unknown if Villa would require a fee or would allow him to leave to offload his wages for the remainder of his contract.
