A salute today to one of the most renowned and game-defining figures in soccer history – Roberto Carlos da Silva Rocha, famously known as Roberto Carlos. Born on April 10, 1973, in Garca, Brazil, he restructured the left-back position with his explosive pace, incomparable stamina, and a legendary left foot that delivered some of the most powerful and unforgettable strikes in soccer history.

Club Journey

Roberto Carlos began his professional career with União São João before making a name for himself at Palmeiras, where he won two Brazilian league titles. His journey to global stardom began in earnest with a move to Europe, but it was his 11-year stint at Real Madrid that defined his legacy. At the Santiago Bernabéu, Carlos made several appearances and scored numerous goals, an extraordinary execution for a powerful defender. His dynamic runs, precise crosses, and long-range thunderbolts helped Real Madrid secure La Liga titles, UEFA Champions League titles, and other titles.
