Samuele Ricci admits he ‘has never been so anxious’ as in the build-up to completing his transfer from Torino to Milan. ‘It is an honour.’
The midfielder had been linked with this move for several years, but it finally came through this evening for €23m plus €2m in add-ons and a 10 per cent cut of any future sale.
He underwent his medical and put pen to paper on the contract to June 2029, with an option to extend for a further year.

“There are so many emotions, I have never been so anxious as over the last few days,” Ricci told Milan Channel.
“It goes without saying that this is an honour, because it is a huge club like Milan. On the other hand, there are going to be high expectations, it is an important season, so I will do my best to repay this faith that has been put in me.”
He was asked to choose his favourite players from the history of Milan and they were all from an era he grew up watching.
“Andrea Pirlo for his vision. Gennaro Gattuso for his strength. For his elegance and technique, I choose Kaka.”

A product of the Empoli youth academy, he moved to Torino in 2022 for a total fee of €11.8m.
Ricci has amassed 127 Serie A appearances, in which he scored five goals and provided seven assists.
