Inter beat Empoli in Serie A yesterday. They hosted the Tuscan side at the San Siro, and took three important points to keep the pressure on Napoli in the title race.
There was one notable face absent on the sidelines, however.
Usually, Inter President Marotta is right there in the director’s box for all of the team’s matches.
However, the 67-year-old was nowhere to be seen yesterday.
According to the Gazzetta, Marotta had just undergone a minor surgery.
It was a routine procedure for the Inter President. However, it was still something that he had to recover from.
Therefore, the Gazzetta report, Marotta was not quite ready to be in the stands yesterday as usual.
