Lens reportedly have an option to purchase Martin Satriano from Inter Milan at the end of the season. It will be triggered on one condition.

The Ligue 1 side are on the cusp of signing the 23-year-old who doesn’t have a place in Simone Inzaghi’s plans.

The Uruguayan has already landed in France and underwent his medical tests. He should soon put pen to paper, completing an initial loan move.

According to L’Equipe via FcInter1908, Lens will pay €1 million on loan fees and will have the option to buy the striker for another €5 million in addition to an extra million as bonuses.

Nevertheless, the French newspaper reveals that the club can only activate the option to buy the player if they manage to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

Therefore, Satriano’s agents have made sure to protect him from plying his trade in Ligue 2 in the following campaign by inserting this clause.

So in case Lens fail to remain in the top flight, the striker will once again return to Appiano Gentile next summer. His contract with the Italian champions remains valid until June 2027.

The Uruguay international spent the previous campaign on loan at Brest. He helped the club secure a historic qualification to the UEFA Champions League with four goals and as many assists in Ligue 1.

Brest were eager to maintain his services, but the young attacker was holding out for a more prestigious destination.
