Wolverhampton Wanderers locked in Matheus Cunha on a long-term deal during the winter transfer window, fending off interest from several clubs at the time. Still, despite that show of commitment, speculation about his future hasn’t gone away—and now, Manchester United are being linked with a potential move following months of rumors.
Cunha has become a vital piece for Wolves, thriving in multiple attacking roles and consistently making an impact. According to Fichajes, the Brazilian has impressed whether he’s been used as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or center-forward. That kind of versatility has reportedly caught the attention of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Wolves clearly rate him highly, but there’s talk they might consider offers north of €70 million. In January, Sky Sports News reported that Nottingham Forest made a club-record bid of around £60 million.

The Telegraph’s John Percy reports that Manchester United are hoping to sign Cunha through installment payments, and Wolves are reportedly open to a deal structured that way.
Ben Jacobs of GIVE ME SPORT reported Tuesday that Manchester United’s long-term sporting project convinces Cunha and would be open to a move—even without Champions League football next season.
So far, conversations have been positive, with the focus firmly on the club’s future vision. While personal terms haven’t been brought up yet, another important meeting is set to take place before the end of the month.
