Jadon Sancho Transfer Latest: Juventus Hold Talks with Manchester United

Juventus Push Ahead in Sancho Pursuit

Sky Sports have reported that Juventus are expected to hold further discussions with Manchester United today regarding a potential transfer for Jadon Sancho. According to Sky Italy, a video call between the two clubs has been scheduled to explore a possible deal.

Sancho, who has been exiled from the United first team since his high-profile fallout with Erik ten Hag and was seemingly never fancied by new coach Ruben Amorim, remains a top target for several clubs. Juventus are keen to get ahead of Napoli in the race for the England international, with Sky Sports noting, “Juventus want to beat Napoli to his signature.”

The Italian giants, who are in the midst of a rebuild, see Sancho as a statement signing who could reinvigorate their attacking options. After a frustrating 2024/25 season on loan at Chelsea – where glimpses of his former brilliance resurfaced but didn’t fully reignite his form – Sancho’s future continues to hang in the balance.

Manchester United’s Standpoint

Manchester United’s stance remains clear: they are open to letting Sancho leave, either permanently or on another loan, but they are keen on a deal that works both financially and in terms of squad harmony.

Sky Sports have underlined the urgency of the situation, with negotiations progressing quickly and multiple clubs interested.

Juventus or Napoli?

Juventus’ interest has now reached an active stage, with direct talks being set up. Napoli, who are also monitoring Sancho closely, may be forced to act swiftly if they wish to keep pace. The winger’s profile fits both clubs’ ambitions, but it appears Juventus are making the more aggressive push.

Whether a permanent fee or loan with an obligation to buy can be agreed is still unknown, but both clubs will be mindful of Sancho’s wage demands and United’s likely asking price.

Sancho’s Career at a Crossroads

At just 25, Sancho still has time to revive his career. His technical quality and creativity remain undoubted, but consistency and confidence have eluded him at Old Trafford. A move to Serie A could offer the calmer environment he needs to reset.

As Sky Sports suggest, this deal could move quickly: “The clubs are believed to have scheduled a video call to discuss a potential transfer for the winger.” With World Cup 2026 approaching, Sancho will be desperate to play regular football at a high level.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

From a Manchester United fan’s point of view, the Jadon Sancho situation is a frustrating yet unsurprising chapter in the club’s recent history. When Sancho arrived from Dortmund for £73 million, hopes were high that United had secured a generational talent. But his time at Old Trafford has been a mix of flashes of brilliance and long spells of inconsistency.

The public fallout with Erik ten Hag last season was a turning point. While fans were initially sympathetic to Sancho’s side of the story, the prolonged absence from the squad and lack of reconciliation made it clear that his United career was effectively over. In truth, it’s a shame things deteriorated to this point. Ruben Amorim now at the helm and the club still looking for the winger to leave, it’d now be multiple managers who gave up on the high profile signing.

Now, with Juventus pushing ahead and Napoli also interested, there’s a sense among fans that the club must make the right decision — not just financially, but in terms of rebuilding the culture at United. This is a player who could thrive elsewhere, and if he does, there will be questions about how United handled the situation.

If he shines in Serie A, fair play to him. But at this stage, United need players fully aligned with the manager’s vision and the club’s direction. Sancho, talented as he is, just no longer fits that picture.
