Liverpool currently regard Chelsea as the front runners in the race to sign Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen according to reports.
The Blues are expected to have another busy summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players to fund their business.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club targeting a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Whilst a striker is the main priority Chelsea are also targeting reinforcements at the other end of the pitch, with there expected to be a shake up at centre back.
Axel Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah and Renato Veiga are candidates to leave, whilst Chelsea also have teenager Mamadou Sarr arriving from Strasbourg.
Chelsea have identified Huijsen as one of their main defensive targets, and the 20-year-old has a £50m release clause in his contract.

The Spain international is attracting interest from a number of clubs, but it’s expected he’ll remain in the Premier League.
Newly crowned Premier League winners Liverpool are thought to be interested, but The Athletic have reported the Reds view Chelsea as the front runners for the defender.
Huijsen has impressed for the Cherries this season, making 32 appearances and scoring twice, with Bournemouth still in with a chance of European football.
If Chelsea fail to land Huijsen they are still said to be keen on Marc Guehi, and the Crystal Palace captain would bring much needed experience and leadership to the backline.
Guhei will likely be available for a cut price deal given he will have just 12 months left on his deal at the end of the season, and he knows the club having come through the ranks at Stamford Bridge.
