Man United have cooled their interest in signing Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries after the Dutchman’s release clause expired.
This according to UK outlet Manchester Evening News, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries had a €25 million release clause in his contract.
Moreover, the 29-year-old recently switched agents. He came under the representation of Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes.
That has naturally led to plenty of transfer rumours regarding Dumfries’s future.

Perhaps the strongest links concerning Dumfries were with Barcelona.
Reportedly, Mendes had offered the 29-year-old to the Blaugranas in transfer talks.
However, Barcelona were not the only club that considered a move for Dumfries.
Manchester City had also reportedly eyed up a move. And it wasn’t just the Cityzens.
According to Manchester Evening News, City’s city rivals Manchester United were also considering a move for the Dutchman.
Dumfries is certainly a player who would suit the tactical system of Red Devils coach Ruben Amorim.
And Manchester Evening News report that while the release clause for Dumfries had been active. United saw the player as a potential low-cost opportunity.
However, the outlet add, there would be little chance of United trying to negotiate a deal for Dumfries at a higher fee after they had passed up the chance to sign him for his release clause.
