In an explosive report, “DaveOCKOP can exclusively reveal that Liverpool are likely to sign Isak for £120M plus add ons this window. The move is expected to accelerate quickly once a formal bid is tabled.” This signals a major statement of intent from the Reds, who appear determined to land their long-term striker target following the departure of Luis Díaz to Bayern Munich.
Despite the recent arrival of Hugo Ekitike, it’s clear Liverpool aren’t done refining their attacking options. Isak, currently training alone at his former club Real Sociedad’s facility in Spain, is poised for a high-profile return to the Premier League – this time in red.
According to TalkSport via the Daily Mail’s Craig Hope, Alexander Isak’s agent Vlado Lemic has told the hierarchy at Newcastle that his client wants to move on. “Yes, they have communicated to Newcastle’s hierarchy the desire to move on,” said Hope.
With Isak’s camp eager to facilitate a move, Liverpool’s confidence appears well placed. Personal terms are already agreed, and while Newcastle are holding out for a Sesko replacement, Manchester United’s reported lead in the Sesko race may push Newcastle to accept Liverpool’s bid faster than expected.

Earlier in the summer, DaveOCKOP reported that Liverpool had been in contact with Benjamin Sesko’s representatives. However, with the Slovenian now likely headed to Old Trafford, Liverpool have gone all in on Isak.
“Liverpool were hopeful that Newcastle would have their replacement signed at this stage. Manchester United entering the fray has somewhat complicated matters.” But regardless of complications, Anfield chiefs are prepared to make Isak the club’s record signing.
At 25, Isak is entering his prime and brings Premier League experience along with a proven scoring record. While the £120M fee is eye-watering, it shows the Reds are prepared to invest heavily to regain their spot at the summit of English and European football.
“Newcastle are aware of Liverpool’s intention to bid for Isak with a £120M fee set to be the fee that will eventually close the deal.”
From a Liverpool fan’s perspective, this move for Isak feels like a clear shift in ambition. Gone are the days of bargain-hunting or long-term projects. Isak represents a player who is ready to deliver now. At 25, he’s not a gamble – he’s a fully-fledged Premier League striker with the kind of intelligent movement and technical ability that would thrive under Arne Slot.
While some may question spending over £120M on one player, Liverpool have banked significant funds from recent sales – Díaz and Quansah have left and others such as Nunez are expected to leave for decent money. It’s also worth considering that Isak’s injury record has improved and his form last season was electric, contributing key goals during Newcastle’s European push.
Isak’s ability to drop deep and link play makes him ideal for Slot’s likely system. As the link up with players such as Salah and Wirtz is a mouth watering prospect.
Assuming the add-ons are tied to Champions League qualification or goal milestones, it’s a calculated risk – the kind elite clubs must take. If Isak delivers, the price tag will be forgotten.
