Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso has become a transfer target for Inter Milan, according to TEAMtalk sources. The Serie A giants are reportedly preparing to overhaul their squad with youthful flair this summer—and Enciso is firmly on their radar.
Enciso, 21, joined Brighton in 2022 from Paraguayan side Libertad and has since racked up 57 appearances for the Seagulls, scoring five goals and notching six assists. Known for his versatility, the Paraguayan can play both as an attacking midfielder and a winger, making him an appealing option for teams seeking creative depth.
Despite an injury-hit spell last season, which saw him loaned out to Ipswich Town, Enciso is still regarded as a top prospect. TEAMtalk report that “Inter have taken a shine to Enciso and want to take him to San Siro this summer.”

Inter Milan’s interest is part of a broader plan to rejuvenate their squad. Last year’s Champions League finalists are shifting focus to players under 25 who can grow within the system.
“The Italian club plan to focus on young talents who can develop and reach their full potential in a Nerazzurri shirt, and this is where Enciso fits in,” reports TEAMtalk. The club has been monitoring Enciso since 2021, showing long-term intent.
Although no official bid has been submitted yet, Inter are said to have enquired about the player’s situation. Enciso is under contract at Brighton until 2026, but with a valuation of around £25 million, there’s potential for negotiation—especially if the player expresses interest in a move.
The Paraguay international has remained coy about what lies ahead. Speaking to ABC Paraguay, Enciso stated: “I’ll think about what I’m going to do later. I don’t know yet. I want to enjoy time with my family and then I’ll think about what I’m going to do.”
With Ipswich’s relegation to the Championship, a permanent move there is off the table. However, Enciso expressed his gratitude to the Tractor Boys on Instagram: “Hello Ipswich fans, I want to thank you for this time that you have been supporting me and for the love… I wish you all the best.”
With a price tag in the region of €30m (£25.3m), Inter Milan may be hoping to negotiate a lower fee. However, Brighton are known for being tough negotiators, particularly when it comes to selling young talent.
Whether this interest turns into a concrete offer remains to be seen, but Enciso’s potential departure would add another twist to Brighton’s already fascinating summer transfer window.
From a Brighton fan’s perspective, this news stirs mixed emotions. Julio Enciso is undeniably a raw gem—technically gifted, tenacious, and with that fearless South American flair that Seagulls fans have come to admire. While his stats might not jump off the page just yet, anyone who’s watched him closely knows there’s a player bubbling beneath the surface.
Loaning him to Ipswich was meant to build match fitness and confidence. The fact that he’s now being eyed by a club of Inter Milan’s stature suggests the plan may have worked. Still, selling him for £25m feels like a premature decision, especially considering Brighton’s track record of turning young stars into big-money assets after another season or two.
There’s also the sentimentality. Enciso has shown flashes of magic in a Brighton shirt—the kind of potential fans love to see blossom at the Amex. If he’s sold this summer, supporters will hope it’s for a fee that truly reflects his long-term value, or that there’s a smart buy-back or sell-on clause baked in.
Whether he stays or goes, Enciso remains a player worth keeping tabs on—and possibly one Brighton could regret letting go too soon.
