Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of signing OFK Grbalj teenager Andrija Vukoje on a multi-year contract.
According to Sky Sport via FCInter1908, the midfielder, born in 2008, will land in Italy on Wednesday to undergo medicals.
If everything goes smoothly, Vukoje will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Therefore, he’ll pledge his future to Giuseppe Meazza until 2028.
However, he probably won’t join Simone Inzaghi’s first-team squad straight away.
It’s more likely he’ll team up with the Primavera squad, or for that matter, the U-23 team Oaktree seems hellbent on building.
Despite being just 16 years old, Vukoje is already an established first-team member at Grbalj.
Indeed, he has made 15 appearances this season, racking up four goals and an assist.
After coming through the ranks at Stadion Donja Sutvara, his career is ready to take a quantum leap.
Swapping the Montenegrin minnows for one of Europe’s most prestigious clubs is a monumental step forward in his career.
However, Inter will do everything to make sure the transition goes smoothly.
Vukoje’s arrival is another step toward assembling a promising U-23 squad for next season.
Impending arrival Tomas Perez should also be part of that team.
