Chelsea are targeting reinforcements for Enzo Maresca in the summer and have been handed a boost according to reports.
The Blues are currently in a difficult run of form following Friday’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton, and have won just two of their last nine league games.
Maresca’s men dropped to sixth over the weekend after both Manchester City and Bournemouth won, although they are only a point outside the top four.
The Blues needed reinforcements in January, especially in attack, but opted against signing anyone as they felt there weren’t any good value options available.
Fabrizio Romano has reported the club are already planning for the summer window with Maresca, where multiple positions need to be addressed.
As well as attack there are concerns at other end of the pitch and supporters would love to see a new goalkeeper signed.

Robert Sanchez has had a disastrous season, and was booed in the game against Manchester City last month, with summer signing Filip Jorgensen now the first choice.
How good the Dane is remains to be see, but Chelsea have already been linked with the likes of Gregor Kobel and Caoimhin Kelleher.
Football Insider have reported that Liverpool will reluctantly listen to offers for the 26-year-old, who is under contract at Anfield until 2026.
The report adds the Republic of Ireland international isn’t interested in signing an extension, with Liverpool valuing him at between £30-£40m.

Kelleher would certainly be an improvement on what Chelsea currently have, but any move for a new keeper will likely require Sanchez to be sold, which is unlikely to be an easy task.
Chelsea will most likely sell Djordje Petrovic in the summer despite his impressive form for Strasbourg, whilst the club are said to have high hopes for both Jorgensen and Belgian teenager Mike Penders.
