BILD have reported that Bayern Munich have stroked two names off their summer transfer list ahead of this summer.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah was a hot topic before the season started, but with Dayot Upamecano set to extend his contract, Tah may not be required.
“That [defence] is not an issue for us at the moment," said sporting director Christoph Freund.
“You can see that our defence is doing really well lately, and they have really solidified. We are conceding few goals. That is why we are very, very happy at the moment”.
Another name said to be removed from the wish list is that of Jonathan David.
The Canadian striker is said to no longer be a topic at the Bavarian club according to BILD’s podcast Bayern Insider.
Although a backup to Harry Kane is needed, the report suggests Vincent Kompany feels the Lille marksman doesn’t fit the profile.
With 83 goals in 166 outings for the Ligue 1 club, David will look to prove his worth against fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League in March.
