Rennes’ Enzo Le Fée agrees terms with AS Roma

It is expected that there will be a mass exodus at Stade Rennais this summer. Florian Maurice has already left to become sporting director at OGC Nice, however, there have been no big-name player departures. Could Enzo Le Fée, who has agreed terms with AS Roma, according to Foot Mercato, be the first?

The France youth international only joined Rennes last year from FC Lorient, however, amid injury issues, fluctuating form and managerial changes, he has failed to live up to his €20m price tag and display his best form. Rennes haven’t given up on Le Fée – far from it. L’Équipe understands that Julien Stéphan is desperate to retain the creative midfielder and make him one of the foundations of the project going forward.

However, it isn’t entirely up to Stéphan and amid concrete interest from Roma, Le Fée could leave. Foot Mercato understands that, whilst the player has agreed terms with the Serie A side, there is yet to be an agreement between the two clubs. One €18m bid has already been rejected; another offer is being readied with Roma, led by former Nice sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, keen to land their man.
