Tomorrow Manchester City will proudly honour those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Tomorrow's match against Southampton is the First Team’s nearest home fixture before Remembrance Sunday.

As a result, we will be taking part in our annual Remembrance activations earlier in the season than usual to ensure players and fans can continue to pay their respects together.

Prior to kick off, Pep Guardiola will lay a wreath pitch side, while another will be placed in the Club’s Memorial Garden earlier in the day.

There will be a performance of the Last Post, and all fans, players and Club representatives will take part in a minute’s silence, honouring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Participants from City in the Community’s (CITC) Military Veteran’s programme will take part in marathon challenge, walking 106 laps of the Athletics Track at the Manchester Tennis and Squash centre.

They will complete their challenge by walking over to the Etihad Stadium where they will stand pitch side to join us in remembering those who we have lost.

All our Men’s First Team will wear a poppy on their shirts, and those worn by City players during the game will be donated to the Royal British Legion via Match Worn Shirt to raise money for the charity; as will the shirts worn by City players during the Brighton game on Saturday 9th November.

Meanwhile, our Women’s team will pay their respects on November 8th at the home game at the Etihad Stadium when they face Tottenham Hotspur.

Once again, ahead of the fixture, Manager Gareth Taylor will lay a wreath pitch side and there will be a minute’s silence. The shirts worn by City Women will be donated to the Royal British Legion to raise money.

Our Academy Teams will also take the time to reflect during the Remembrance period, taking part in a minute’s silence ahead of their fixtures.

Our Under-12 Team will take part in the annual Remembrance fixture with Manchester United, remembering the fallen soldiers who have represented both clubs.

After the game, the teams will exchange shirts as a mark of respect, before attending a joint meal in solidarity.

They will also take part in the Premier League’s annual Christmas Truce project, which will see our team participating for a place in the Christmas Truce tournament in Belgium.
