A reliable new outlet says that Chelsea still want to sign another ‘all round attacker’ this summer and has named four main targets.

Chelsea beat Los Angeles FC 2-0 in their Club World Cup opening group game last night in what was a very strange and subdued atmosphere in front of just 22,000 people in a huge stadium.

It was far from vintage Chelsea but in the end they just got the job done and three points on the board to set them up for a good starts.

The goals came from a lovely Nicolas Jackson assist to Pedro Neto to finish in the first half. And then new signing Liam Delap also provided a superb assist for Enzo Fernandez to run into the box and tap in to score.

Delap had a good debut

Chelsea signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for just £30m, which was a very cheap release clause. He had his Chelsea debut last night and looked very good.

But as well as Delap, Chelsea are still looking to sign more new attackers in various positions as well as another winger.

Athletic on attackers

The Athletic have a transfer news updates article out today on Chelsea, and they hone in on new attackers.

They report that Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens is clearly the most likely to fill the winger role as things stand, due to the negotiations that have already taken place. Among the candidates being viewed to meet their other attacking requirements are Hugo Ekitike, Mohammed Kudus and Joao Pedro. Chelsea want an all round attacker.

The report also goes on to say that RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, a player Chelsea have admired for three years, was removed from the wishlist once they bought Delap.
