Real Sociedad star limps out of pre-season training | OneFootball

A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga outfit Real Sociedad was on Tuesday forced to limp out of training.

That’s according to Marca, who highlight Arsen Zakharyan as the player in question.

Midfielder Zakharyan is for his part fresh off a season to forget in San Sebastian in 2024/25.

Owing to a persistent ankle issue, in fact, the 22-year-old managed a grand total of four appearances across all competitions, just one of which came in the form of a start.

Safe to say, then, that all of a Real Sociedad persuasion were no doubt eager for Zakharyan to be afforded a clean bill of health for the season ahead.

As alluded to above, though, on Tuesday, such hopes were dealt an early blow…

As per a report from Marca, on just his 2nd day of pre-season training, the Russian limped out of proceedings with a fresh ankle concern.

It now remains to be seen if the issue was just a knock, or something more serious.
