Real Madrid ‘will make a concrete attempt’ to sign Arsenal star | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to launch an all-out assault on the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at Arsenal.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto of Relevo, who points towards William Saliba as the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back.

Owing to the latest long-term injury suffered by Éder Militão, Los Blancos are aware that dipping into the market for fresh blood with a view to next season is something of a must.

And, amid their ongoing scouring of the market, one name stands out above all others – William Saliba.

Arsenal standout Saliba is widely considered one of the standout defenders in all of Europe, an absolutely crucial component of Mikel Arteta’s Gunners backline.

And, as per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, such talents have firmly piqued the attentions of those in the boardroom at Real Madrid:

‘The name Real Madrid’s sporting directors most like is Arsenal’s William Saliba. This isn’t an easy solution because the English club will do everything possible to retain the French defender, but Real Madrid will make a concrete attempt to sign him.’
