A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is attracting mounting interest by way of the Premier League.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Gonzalo García as the player in question.

Frontman Gonzalo is for his part of course fresh off something of a breakout summer.

Afforded a surprisingly prominent role in the XI of new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso owing to an illness suffered by Kylian Mbappé, the 21-year-old went on to take full advantage.

All told, Gonzalo featured from the off in each and every one of Los Blancos’ fixtures at the Club World Cup.

And along the way, the youngster racked up five direct goal contributions (4G, 1A), enough to secure ownership of the competition’s Golden Boot.

With such production, though, comes inevitable outside interest.

As per a report from AS:

‘As this newspaper reported, three top English clubs have swooped in for Gonzalo.’

It is also noted, however, that the striker himself has made clear to his entourage that his priority is to stay put and fight for his place in Real Madrid’s squad.
