Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz has confirmed that teammate Kylian Mbappé followed through on a pre-match promise en route to the club’s eventual downing of Sevilla.
Real, of course, saw out their fixture list for the calendar year on Sunday, in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged dominant victors, by four goals to two.
And both of the aforementioned Brahim and Mbappé played starring roles for Los Blancos en route to their latest three-point haul.
The former rounded out the scoring for Real, whilst Mbappé opened as much courtesy of a stunning strike from distance.
The latter’s contributions did not end there, however, with Mbappé having actually also been responsible for laying on Brahim’s goal, courtesy of a clever defence-splitting pass.
And, speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, the Moroccan went on to reveal that, in the process, his attacking partner-in-crime ‘kept his promise’:
“My goal? Mbappé told me he’d give me an assist, so he kept his promise. I’m very happy with the goal.”
