Real Madrid star admits he ‘hopes’ Man City standout joins the club | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal has this week revealed his hope that, one day, Manchester City midfielder and compatriot Rodri will secure a move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

The name of Ballon d’Or winner Rodri of course reemerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid this past summer.

This came amid fresh claims that, amid their ongoing search for a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos, Los Blancos had earmarked the 29-year-old as a leading target.

In the end, no such swoop was forthcoming, with Rodri still working his way back towards full fitness after a long-term spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

As alluded to above, though, one individual who remains hopeful of a joining of forces between the two parties at some point down the line is Dani Carvajal.

Drawn on the name of his international teammate during an interview with COPE this week, full-back Carvajal admitted:

“I hope in the future he can be with us at the club.”
