Real Madrid legend Marcelo announced his retirement from football earlier this year and the world will deeply miss his magic down the right flank.
It was at the Spanish capital that he carved his name out as one of the best in the business, and it is clear that his legacy at the club will live on for centuries.
Marcelo’s magic, however, continues to live in the Real Madrid academy as his son Enzo Alves is one of La Fabrica’s fastest-rising young stars and a talented forward who is seen as a long-term bet by Los Blancos.
While Marcelo’s elder son has been with Real Madrid for a long time now, June Lavin brings to light that the Brazilian legend’s younger son Liam will also sign for the Real Madrid academy soon.
The younger of the two brothers is expected to sign for the Benjamin A team and will try his level best to leave an impression at the club.
Needless to say, his admission into the academy will see Marcelo himself spend more time at the club facilities, personally overseeing the growth of both of his children who will be registered in the academy.
Liam’s potential signing comes just days after his brother Enzo signed a renewal with Real Madrid for one year.
Now 15 years of age, Marcelo’s elder son is already playing for Los Blancos’ Cadet A team and has even featured for the Juvenil B setup given how he is punching above his weight.
He already has 24 goals in 18 games and will hope to put his fitness troubles behind him to do even better in the coming months.
