La Liga giants Real Madrid have already secured their first signing for the 2025/26 campaign.

That’s according to COPE, who point towards Trent Alexander-Arnold as the player in question.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course long proven a prominent one in the Spanish media headlines.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the right-back has been identified as a prime summer transfer target on the part of Real Madrid.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract with Liverpool in the summer, the 26-year-old has been earmarked as the ideal long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.

Alexander-Arnold, for his part, is seen as keen on the move, a call which has left those of a Liverpool persuasion less than impressed.

And if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then the transfer can now be considered as all but done.

As per COPE:

‘Alexander Arnold has already been signed and will compete with Carvajal for the right-back spot.’
