La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been afforded some altogether timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that two important members of the club’s first-team setup were on Wednesday given the green light to rejoin group training.

The pair in question? Federico Valverde, and Brahim Díaz.

Both midfielder Valverde and attacker Brahim have spent the last couple of weeks in recovery from injury problems.

The duo sat out their respective countries’ endeavours during the international break, to ensure the best possible chance of recovering full fitness in time for the fast-approaching Club World Cup.

And as alluded to above, such patience appears to have paid off.

As per a report from Real Madrid insider Melchor Ruiz, Valverde and Brahim linked back up with the rest of new boss Xabi Alonso’s Blancos squad in group training on Wednesday morning.

Both players completed part of the session, a major step forward ahead of Real’s Club World Cup opener against Al-Hilal this day next week.
