Rodrygo Goes is not in the best of situations from a sporting perspective and his future at Real Madrid is more uncertain than ever before. News of his potential exit, in fact, has become a mainstay in the Spanish media.

As relayed earlier today, Rodrygo doesn’t see the time to be right to leave the Merengues and wishes to continue fighting for a regular spot under Xabi Alonso.

At this tumultuous time in his career, MARCA bring to light that the 24-year-old forward has changed his chief sponsor.

The Real Madrid forward has been an ambassador for Nike for several years now, but has now ended his relationship with the American sports manufacturer to switch to Adidas, their prime rivals.

A major change

Sports sponsorship contracts, as of today, is one of the areas in the football world that is fiercely competitive. The big names often have sporting giants fighting for their endorsement and Rodrygo is no different.

As relayed by the Spanish outlet, Rodrygo has now signed a new deal with Adidas and it could well become the most profitable deal of his career.

The exact details of his new deal have not come to light and the exact economic value of it remains a mystery. However, there is enough basis to believe that it is significantly superior to his Nike sponsorship.

Adidas, after all, have shown a keen interest in capturing the biggest names in world football in recent years and their acquisition of a deal with Lamine Yamal for a sum of €32 million for ten years only puts their ballpark into perspective.

Rodrygo may not have the same youth or commercial appeal as the Barcelona star, but his affiliation with Real Madrid and illustrious history at the club make him a great candidate to secure great terms with the German giants.

Rodrygo isn’t the first Real Madrid player to decide to change sponsors recently. Brahim Diaz broke his relationship with Nike last year to sign a multi-million-dollar contract with the German sporting goods giants.
